American Idol
Are the judges to harsh this year? Do you even watch american idol anymore? I stoppped last year, because Katherine Mcphee should've won. Taylor Hicks couldn't sign worth a flip. Ok, he was pretty good. But post your thoughts about American Idol here. Thanks!
Re: American Idol
I'm going to comment simply on England's (fairly rubbish singing competitions).
The winner is never the one that can actually sing most of the time, instead it is the one who has the best image, mainly convincing the younger female audience to vote for them.
The best singers though can get recognised by Simon Cowell and then make a contract separate to the show. The case of G4 and Steve for example, Steve won, but G4 got a contract and have been a lot more successful then Steve.

Re: American Idol
Yep, so I am not really bothered to watch Pop Idol or anything like that. X Factor is getting worse too, so I'm going off singing competitions as they are all so repetitive.

Re: American Idol
I personally hate Paula Abdul, and that HassleHoff-type guy, whatever his name is. I like the other guy (not sure what his name is). I think he judges the best out of all of them, and is not a total freak like Paula Abdul.

Re: American Idol
Well American Idle, really good show. But when this season came, it wasn't who sung the best it was who had gotten the most votes. In my opinion it was a popularity competition
